Definitions:

V.A.R.'s Value Added Resellers / Distributors. An agent or agency having exclusive or shared rights for the marketing of an item . When a distributor needs product, they place an order against the manufacturer. The distributor is in total control of the size of the order being placed and the price it is being sold to its Retail Dealer channels. The distributor maintains an inventory plan. A distributorship is generally characterized as a business relationship in which a distributor has the right to distribute products of a manufacturer or manufacturers. The distributor may carry a single line or multiple lines of one or more manufacturers who may be in competition with one another.

Retail Dealer. The retail trade sector comprises establishments engaged in retailing merchandise, generally without transformation, and rendering services incidental to the sale of merchandise. The retailing process is the final step in the distribution of merchandise; retailers are, therefore, organized to sell merchandise in small quantities to the general public. A dealer is similar to a distributorship. The difference is that a dealership often obtains its products from a distributor rather than a manufacturer, and resells to the public from a retail outlet rather than to other dealers from a wholesale outlet. A retail Dealer usually has a physical place of business where customers can patronize and make purchases for immediate delivery of products

W.B.R Web Based Retail Dealer. Similar to a Retail Dealer. The W.B.R. Web Based Retail Dealer usually does business primarily, over the Internet through its Business Web-Page and has no physical place of business for consumers to patronize. The retailing process is the final step in the distribution of merchandise; retailers are, therefore, organized to sell merchandise in small quantities to the general public. A W.B.R may or may not carry actual inventory in stock but rather have the product dropped shipped to the end-user.

Independent Representative. A independent representative is a person acting as an independent contractor to sell goods or services on behalf of a manufacturer or distributor. Usually, the sales representative pays no fee to become a representative, does not take title to the goods and does not operate under the manufacturer's or distributor's trade name. The sales representative may or may not sell or distribute products under a marketing plan prescribed by the manufacturer, nor uses the manufacturer's trade name. An Independent representative may carry a small inventory for resale or be paid a commission for sales leads recommended to the manufacturer.

These descriptions are somewhat simplified.
