SFARZO GUITAR STRINGS ON A HARLEY ?

For the second year, Delaney
Guitars has partnered with the MDA
and Harley-Davidson to raise money to help find a cure for
Muscular Dystrophy. Last year the Missoula Chapter of the Harley
Owners Group, sponsored by Montana
Harley-Davidson raised just under $28,000.00. We were proud
to be part of the effort. We hope that this year’s guitar will
help to bring in even more needed funds to fight this disease.
The
2007 Delaney Harley guitar has a vintage style body made of alder.
It has a custom Diamond Plate pickguard designed by Jeremiah
Lasslett of Sharp Concepts. Also on the body of the guitar
is the 2007 Harley/MDA logo laser engraved into the wood below the
bridge by Dennis Hicks
of Light Wave Art.
 Willie
G. Davidson was kind enough to sign the guitar for us this
year and help out the cause. The neck of the guitar is maple. We
used an old school profile on the back of the neck and a compound
radius fretboard with medium-jumbo frets. Vintage electronics, chrome
hardware, and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish complete the look
of the guitar. We strung the Harley Guitar with Sfarzo Super Screamer
strings.

Delaney
Guitars was founded by Mike Delaney, a guitarist who has played
rock, blues, soul, r&b, and funk for 40 plus years from Los
Angeles to Atlanta and shared the stage with many big names in the
industry. Mike began experimenting with the guitar building process
out of frustration with inconsistencies in workmanship and quality
that he found in the mass produced guitars available in stores.
Using his woodworking background along with his experience as a
guitarist, Mike started building his own guitars. Other musicians
took notice and started asking Mike to build guitars for them. He
hasn't stopped since.
