ASTROSLIDE

Astroslide hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Officially formed in August of 2008, Astroslide consists of Drummer Dan "Animal" Silva, Guitarist Greg Forbyn, Bassist Jason Luke, and Singer Chris Erickson.

Combining ultra-tasty, slide guitar riffs with growling infectious bass grooves, the Astro-sound platform is completed with an ear-storm of percussion and aggressive yet haunting vocals. The music detonates the primal urge to rock in all audiences, creating a maelstrom of vulgar indiscretions.

Although new to the scene, they have dominated fresh ears at venues all over Northern California, such as The Phoenix Theatre, The Last Day Saloon, and The Kennel Club.

As a rock band with diverse influences, Astroslide pulls from blues to metal for a sonic buffet thats difficult to define with simple influences and formulas. Each song has a life of its own, evolving beyond genre classification. "Viral" represents the struggle of ideals versus reality with deep resonance and conviction. "On My Mind" is a pulsating beast of lust, highlighting the weakness in all of us. Both songs are off the self-titled debut EP, with the next addictive album due to be released in Summer of 2010.

With extreme passion for issues beyond music, Astroslide has donated time and money for such causes as cancer benefits, teen drinking awareness, and other diverse fundraisers.
