J J Miller
J J has opened for Pat Travers, Nils Lofgren, Deep Purple, The Edgar Winter Group, The Dixie All Star Band, Blackfoot, Humble Pie, and Kix—as part of such bands as New Attitude, Skywalker, and The Gus Smiley Show.
J J’s musical influences include: Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin, Ronnie James Dio, Journey, Badlands, Soundgarden, Glen Hughes, and Deep Purple.
Rich Fisanick
Starting from 11 years old, and voted one of the top 10 rock guitarists in New Jersey and the Tri-State area, Rich has opened up for Uli Jon Roth of The Scorpions, Canned Heat, Hanoi Rocks, The Box Tops, and is an accomplished guitar teacher, songwriter, and studio musician.
Rich’s influences are Jimi Hendrix, Steve Via, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Al DiMeola, Allen Holdsworth, and Frank Marino. (And on a real personal note: Rich’s been influenced a lot by Ginger Lynn ;)
Joey Reyes
The Consummate Musician and Rock Bassist.
Raised across the Golden Gate in San Francisco’s North Bay, Joey’s been no stranger to The Fillmore stage and many other local clubs, having played and recorded with such bands as Screaming Bloody Marys, Glamazon, Karma Whiplash, and Project Greenfield.
Joey’s been influenced by everyone he’s heard, though his personal favorites are The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Thin Lizzy, and Bob Marley. At 15 he hitchhiked to Mexico and played acoustic guitar to a captive audience in Morelia Michoacan, where he first saw there was a hunger for high-spirited music in the world.
Jose “The Stick” Lopes
Jose has opened for Ike & Tina Turner, jammed with Santana in his front room, and started playing professionally in 1965 while in the service, on the Bob Hope Tour. He’s since played with Kathy McDonald for two years, did the Fillmore, Winterland, and played with one of the best B3 players in the country, Mr. Aux Cayes (we were compared to Lee Mike’s & Frosty).
Now Speed of Light has launched, and he’s lucky enough to be a part of it.
