Sfarzo Guitar Strings set to release Berry Premium Studio Series String Sets.
Robert Berry's career speaks for itself. Robert has been involved, played and toured with some of the biggest
names in the recording industry. Steve Howe of Yes, Keith Emerson and
Carl Palmer of ELP, Sammy Hagar, Gary Pihl of Boston, Geoff Downes of Asia, Alan Fitzgerald of Night Ranger, Ambrosia and now playing with Greg Kihn. Listen to Robert here
And now... after nearly 2 decades of chronic formula tweaking and metallurgic refinement between Robert Berry and Greg Sfarzo of the Santa Rosa, CA based Sfarzo String Company will finally release to the public what has long been known around company headquarters as simply the 'Studio' sets.

These are the same strings used on virtually all of Robert Berry's recording work, going back before '3' ( Keith Emerson and
Carl Palmer of ELP). These strings are blended for preferred studio tonal qualities, and have proven to perform extremely well in live situations as well. Known as the Robert Berry Studio Series, these premium strings will be available in electric, acoustic and bass sets.
" I have known Robert and his family since the early 1980's" says Greg Sfarzo of Sfarzo Strings. " Great guy, great musician, great songwriter and great producer".
Robert Berry is an American progressive rock musician whose collaborations with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer (two-thirds of Emerson, Lake & Palmer) resulted in the 1987 debut of 3. Its only album, To the Power of Three, featured a synthesizer-laden cover of The Byrds' "Eight Miles High",
plus several original pop compositions from Berry, who played both
electric bass and lead guitar.
The first single "Talkin' 'Bout" hit the
number 6 spot on the Billboard top 100. Rolling Stone
gave the album abysmal ratings, but the band's 3 month tour of the
United States helped push the single up the charts and was mostly sold
out. Since the dissolution of 3, Robert Berry has participated in
several projects, including Tales from Yesterday, a tribute album to Yes. He was also involved in an abortive follow-up to GTR in which he replaced Steve Hackett.
Material from this project and an unreleased second 3 album appeared on Berry's solo album Pilgrimage to a Point available at Robertberry.com. Berry's current band Alliance is composed of top musicians Gary Pihl from the band Boston on guitar, David Lauser from the Sammy Hagar Band on drums and Alan Fitzgerald from Night Ranger on keyboards. He also has contributed songs to a number of film soundtracks, including the Anthony Michael Hall film Out of Bounds.
Distribution of these fine Studio Guitar Strings will be set up between The Sfarzo String Company and Robert Berry very soon at www.sfarzo.us and http://www.robertberry.com
