A thin microscopic layer of Polytetrafluoroethylene aka RedFRED is added after the manufacturing process which adds to the longevity and shelve life of the string.

Alloy5109 is less prone to damaging your frets. Other types of string can act like a file and over time damage your frets. Alloy5109 gives for a smoother feeling string.

Increased Wrap-To-Core Coupling adds to the overall vibration characteristics without dampening results.
